The project involved the repair and adaptive reuse of the Maritime Building of Auckland’s Quay Street.  The ground floor was opened up to form a cafe, services repaired and extended and the upper floors extensively rebuilt.

This Cooper and Company fitout occupies two floors of the Maritime Building and involved the generation of an open plan feel making the most of views views while acknowledging their need for a degree of privacy and separation.  A timber storage wall of cabinetry is used to organise the space, separating circulation from work areas.  Combined with clear and opaque glass partitions the space is able to be divided into discreet areas as necessary.

Desks were developed in conjunction with Michael Draper Design to reflect a sophisticated industrial aesthetic relevant to the waterfront location.
