ANTARCTICA

Project Notes
The huts of the continent’s first explorers, Carston Borchgrevink, Robert Falcon Scott and Ernest Shackleton are still existent yet needing conservation.

These huts are the only examples of the continent’s first constructions and all are remarkable artefacts of a not too distant age of heroic exploration. Our work involves the conservation of Scott’s huts at Hut Point and Cape Evans, the hut from which he left for his final expedition to the South Pole.
